Problem solved (for now at least). This is what I did:
1) Removed my computer from the list in the Account tab.
2) Restarted Firefox
3) Added computer again
4) Waited a while, then removed computer again
5) Rebooted computer
6) Added computer again
7) This time after adding the computer, a new

Sebastien, I'm not sure it's bug #411815. My bug happens even with latest
gst-plugins-base0.10.
But it seems to be fixed with totem 2.28.2 (I tried it from karmic-proposed).
No hang yet.

Since this bug report is being linked to by news stories, it is getting
viewed by many people with nvidia bugs that fail in similar ways but due
to unrelated causes. I'd like to direct them to more appropriate bug
reports:
The blinks on reboot issue is a bug in gdm, bug #441638. That
blinking
After reinstalling iBus there are no languages available to select in
the Input Method tab of iBus preferences. I have double-checked to
make sure English and Chinese are both enabled in Language Support. Any
help?

Just by chance I noticed that the videos plays OK when opened in a new
window in youtube. Still, the main window in any page I tried does not
work.
