I have the same problem. I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and now I can't
log on with my user. It doesn't matter if I choose Ubuntu, Ubuntu 2d
or XFCE. Screen turns black for a second and returns to log on screen.
Other users still work though.

on how to treat underscores (xapian's TermGenerator does not break on
underscores - which we shamefully exploit in some cases...). Also
breaking on transitions between numerals and characters seems like a

Hi,
Sometime in the last 24-48 hours, some update has caused Unity / Window
Snapping to start appearing, even when I am not moving a window at all.
The problem is intermittent, but once it occurs, the only solution is to
log off and back on. I have not yet been able to
