With a fine-tuned blacklisting still needed, I would like to rewrite the

- match DRI driver instead of DDX. Use xdriinfo instead of grepping X logs etc.

Hint: until an updated kernel is out, a good workaround seems to be to
add noreplace-paravirt to kernel command line. This is noted in the LKML
thread (http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/8/22/213). The normal 2.6.27 Intrepid
kernel boots up fine in VB with that option, and I didn't notice any
drawbacks
I'm experiencing this as well. EEE PC 900, fresh install of Ubuntu
8.04.1.. After a reboot, WPA2 resets to WPA, and I have to re-enter the
password and set it to WPA2 again if I want to connect to the same
network I was connected to before the reboot.
Why is this set to low priority? Basic
I install 2.6.27-2-generic kernel (upgrading alpha4 to alpha 5) and I
can confirm that with this kernel the bug remains.

Only rc.local/xrandr + xbacklight can workaround the problem ;
BUT : 2 times out of 3, the rc.local call to xrandr seems to make some
kind of race condition with gdm

Oh yes, it is still an issue! And I do believe it's not just an issue

I am still waiting for Simos Xenitellis' patch to find it's way into the

With the attached patch to option.c, it's no longer necessary to force
loading of the usbserial driver with vendor and product ID parameters.
I've re-tested dialing with pppd+chat and it works fine.
NM still does not see the device even though it's now using the `option'
driver for GSM modems.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400, I'm on Ubuntu Hardy 2.6.24-19-generic.
In my laptop, there is a button called MediaDirect which launched a Dell
software when I was on Windows XP, but, this button has become useless on
Ubuntu, so, I've decided to attribute a shortcut to this

Turns out, the disk was a bad burn, so Its good that itt stopped at 93%

I burned again, and there were no bugs, but it was still laggy.

I'm using a clean install of Intrepid, and these issues are non-
existent! Even during the expected hiccups of lag, the system remains
responsive to user input.And certainly, the case of my computer
being lagged down during the whole burning process is gone.

hm... just been skimming the diff:
* the API looks stable, so I doubt we'll have problems rebuilding rdepends
* there is a possible type change, meaning that the ABI might change. Can you
give us a diff of the symbols of the shared objects to find out if the ABI is
stable or does indeed change?
I tested yesterday again the audio back buton in amarok on my kubuntu 8.04.1
updated with apdept manager to the lastest and now it's working as expected.
One click - one song back.
Don't know what package solved this, but now is working for me

No, as netatalk linked with openssl wouldn't be redistributable, which
is a main requirement for inclusion in multiverse.
One option is to convince netatalk upstream to add a openssl exception to the
license.
An other option is to try if netatalk builds and works with gnutls.

I have the same problem! I use Ubuntu Hardy with all updates. I can't
listen to music on Audio CDs (music stops after every 5 sec for some
time and plays again), DVD movies don't play at all.
