I have a specific issue. I have created Ubuntu-based distribution for my
office. On most machines autologin works but on one it does not. All
machines were unpacked from the same installation

I tracked the problem down to a single line
~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc: 'CurrentEngine=locate' in the
[SearchBar] section. When running from the command line, Konqueror would
print 'findServiceByDesktopPath: searchproviders/locate.desktop not
found' to STDERR. I removed the file and let

Confirmed same problem with SONY NEC Optiaric Dvd-RW drive, while installing
ubuntu server 9.10!
Judging from current feedback SONY\NEC == BAD for text mode install.
