shut down, my advice was to NEVER hard shutdown, but to press
ctrl+alt+delete and select shutdown from the dialog box that appears.

Tenho um sistema linux que é um VPS nele eu faço minhas experiencias..
porem gostaria de fazer o backup completo
do sistema limpo sem instalação de nenhum serviço. Gostaria de saber
algumas ideias de como fazer o backup
para outro local.

Aí é que está a questão, quando baixo o volume de um deles, os dois baixam.
Segui as receitas de bolo, tentei separar pelo alsaconf, mas sem êxito. Como
estava mt ocupado com outras questões, deixei de lado para quando tiver mais
tempo. A rolagem, não tentei ainda.

Pessoal, eu resolvi, não sei como, mexi-mexi, desde de manhã que estou
reinstalando o Ubuntu por causa daquele erro (failed to boot...), então
me deparei com isso, mas consegui. Instalei o nVidia e está
redondinho... ufa!!!

I choose all controllers (include NC) to be installed in one box in a demo
environment but could not get the node registered properly. All vm types in
the zones display show 0 for the max.
Any tip /doc to follow? I found one for Ubuntu 9.04 but could not follow it
with the 10.04 version.
