I have to say that I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on a different partition
on the same disk as Windows XP and all went very smoothly with no
problems at all.
I can only ascertain from this that only certain hardware is affected.

Olá a todos!
Tenho Ubuntu 10.04 e quando uso meu pendrive e tento gravar ao nele aparece
que não é possível porque o sistema é somente leitura.
Já usei chmod 777 na pasta e não funcionou.
Como faço para desmarcar o somente leitura.

ai você digita a senha - enter - repete a senha - enter

Pessoal, eu uso o Kubuntu 10.10, acontece que quando vou montar a partição
Windows que tenho na mesma máquina ele pede a senha, queria desabilitar
isso, já segui um tutorial deste link, mas sem chance, ainda pede a senha.
Alguém já desabilitou isso no Kubuntu?
