on install, and when running dpkg-reconfigure gdm, gdm returns the

text on menus of openoffice writer 2.4 does not show
Can happen when compiz, OO.o and nVidia drivers enabled. See bug 297836
for others with the same issues. Please provide more information
regarding your driver, and your computer if this is still an issue.

Open office 2.4 there is no text in the menue - olnly with desktop effekts
Please indicate whether you are using compiz, and include copies of
/etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log. It's possible that this bug
