syslog, not even getting to a console. Restarting loses all the

stick, unmounting it, remounting it rw sync, moving syslog to the stick,

On a system76 gazelle9, the track pad sometimes fires off a click even
when it is not pressed. This can happen when typing on the keyboard (not
touching the trackpad) or when actually using the mouse but not

When told to instal the new system along side the old system, a window
pops up where the new and old partitions can be sized. Ubiquity seems
to do nothing after that, it just sits there with the disc mouse pointer
spinning. Checking with Menu-Accessories-Disks shows that

needs to be purged from the PCC Live Desktop CD to enable the

I can add an account on AMD64 using 2.5.5175-1 and on i386 using
2.5.5168-1 I can make and receive calls on i386. I'm still looking
into whether the AMD64 can actually receive calls, but that would be a
separate issue.

Sorry. I've rolled back. 2.4.4997-1ubuntu1 on AMD64 allows adding an
account and on i386 it won't get past the 'verify certificate' stage
leaving an empty dialog box instead. I can try the i386 version on a
freshly installed system later today if that helps.

On a G4, this worked:
apt-get purge ubiquity-slideshow-lubuntu
and then the installation ran to completion with a small copying
files... and installing system and such progress dialogs instead of
the slideshow.

The symptoms seem to be the same. Though I have not checked what was
actually put on the HD. It does get partitioned and formatted though,
which is a big deal since that usually wipes out the existing system.

stored in the metadata.
metaflac --list x.flac | grep MD5
For FLAC files generated with sound-juicer, the checksum is a bunch of
zeros. It should be the actual checksum instead. For files that were
ripped

Jitsi on AMD64 does not run. It begins to run but then hangs before any
GUI pops up. Attached is the output from jitsi -d
The last line of output that the program produces in debug mode is :

What should
Seems to be a corrupt profile or someting. If I rename the .jitsi
directory then I get bug 1271075 instead. Same for a fresh system
account on a fresh installation.

When running Jitsi for the first time, the account wizard pops up and
asks for account information. If information for an SIP account is
entered and the sign in button is selected, then jitsi just sits there
with the mouse pointer as a spinning wheel. This seems to go on
This freezeup does not occur with the latest package from the Jitsi site
(jitsi_2.4.4997-1_i386.deb ) https://download.jitsi.org/jitsi/debian/,
only with the package from the Ubuntu repository.

If hal is in maintenance mode then which package does this bug really
affect? I can see that the problem is still present in Trusty. There,
UFS partitions are still not getting mounted when plugged in.

Attached is the log file from a session where the wizard does not
connect.
Also, the wizard pops up even if jitsi was previously configured. If I
uninstall the Ubuntu version and roll back to the version from
jitsi.org, then it accepts the existing configuration and makes the
connection.
