How are you passing the model quirk to the kernel at boot time?
For the LiveCD - hit a key on the first splash screen, Hit Enter for
English, F6, then esc to get to the Boot Options, type model=vaio, hit
enter to continue boot. Audio works when I do this, and doesn't if I
don't.
For an HD boot:
Thunderbird is still doing this: set up a large account and while
downloading 2 years´ worth of email Xorg uses 50% of CPU.

This bug is still present in today's ISO. The kernel appears to be
listening to killswitch events but it is still impossible to turn on
WiFi if killswitch state changes during suspend.

Confirming cometdog's workaround works here too. I wonder whether this
antialiasing issue relates at all to the failure of poppler / cairo to
antialias some PDFs? ( bug 248355 )

The SD card is a Kingston and I attach it to my Vaio notebook through a
Sony Vaio memory card adapter ExpressCard, if that is any help.
Udevadm info starts with the device specified by the devpath and then
walks up the chain of parent devices. It
