I've managed to work out what triggers this bug, if you have selected
the Watch my library for new files option in the Music tab of the
preferences dialog AND you download podcasts into the folder (or sub
folder) of the one being watched then the podcasts disappear from the
feed window.

Suspend/resume fails on wake-up if the PC is left in the suspended state
for more than a couple of seconds. If the PC is resumed immediately
after the suspend takes place the resume seems to work, but often there
are warnings of low memory corruption.

I believe that this is a duplicate of this bug,
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/279287
if so I can confirm that it is still present in Intrepid Final, but I
haven't tried Jaunty yet.

Computer crashes with acx wireless network card
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277868
After having done some research I'm now sure that this hang is due to
the acx wireless driver and the fact that it does not support WPA. I
can use NetworkManager if I blacklist this driver in
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and use a wired connection instead.
The worrying thing for Ubuntu is that this
I've managed to get a photograph of a stack trace of the problem, two
parts of it are attached, unfortunately there was no way to write this
information to a disk so I don't have the whole trace.
Hopefully this will give you some information about the problem, could
you please let me know if

Hello again, attached is a photo of the output to the console after I
issue the command to start network manager in no daemon mode, there is
no output at all if I start it as a service. Alt+SysRq+t and
Alt+SysRq+p gave no results.
Unfortunately I can't do this on a tty as all are blank except
Hi, thanks for the quick responses, I've run the memtest and it looks

Thanks again for your help.

Chris,
Sorry but it appears I spoke too soon. I've replaced the faulty memory
with modules which pass memtest but I still get the problem. It's a
complete system lock up, the SysRq process yields no results.

The last boot that you see in kern.log is m boot into the recovery setup
of Intrepid, the one before that is when the lock up happened.
I'm willing to give any more information you may need and can build
NetworkManager from source with any changes you may suggest if this will
