hi,
has anyone tried the Kawai VPC1-MIDI-Keyboard with ubuntustudio ?
I have installed a brandnew pianoteq-Stage and I intend to buy this
MIDI keyboard Kawai VPC1.
The quality of the keystrokes convinced me and it plays like a real
grand piano. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case with my
hi,
does anyone know, if a Studiologic-sl88 midi-keyboard is running with
ubuntu (linux) ?
Special:
is this midi-keyboard recognized as a USB keyboard and would a linux-
DAW be able to to communicate with it ?
Or is there a website that lists MIDI-keyboards that work with Linux ?
Unfortunetly,
hi ubuntu-studio-users,
have sean some interesting virtual instruments like Hammond B3 and much
more, but in which directory should or must they be installed ?
The most of that virtual Instruments are available as plugins or as a

Which one should I prefer ?
And how canI use
hi list,
am having a MIDI-Keyboard but can only use the MIDI-Interfac to connect
to my linuxbox, because the USB-Connection is reserved for Windows-

hi list,

Where to find this "segfault"-message, so I could find out, whats the

Has anyone an idea of this behavior ?

And its a really great experience to hear all the sounds through that

hi list,
after installing ubuntustudio over xubuntu 20.04.lts, I have some
trouble with pulseaudio and jackd - jackd won't run.
In some descriptions I found out, that pulseaudio should be
deinstalled, in some other descricptions a deactivation of pulseaudio
is prefered.
What would be the best
hi list,
my "problem" is not the KDE-Environment itself. But if anyone uses
ubuntustudio for 8 years in a Production-Environment, in most cases it
is not enough time, to learn a new environment during studio-jobs.
So, with xfce I know all the knobs and places, where I can find all the

hi list,
is KDE mandatory for ubuntustudio 20.04 ? Because I am working now for
some years with Xubuntu - aka XFCE on the 18.04 - and I am not really
happy with the idea, that KDE should be the "New holy gral" for
Ubuntustudio 20.04.
If this would happen, I think I would change to AV-Studio,

hi list,
does anyone from this list run the Steinberg AXR4U on ubuntustudio
20.04? Because I cannot find it on ALSA SoundCard Matrix.
The onlyone entry there is USB-2-MIDI with a Cypress AN21131XX Chipset.
Hope, anyone could help here ?
Thanks in advance

hi ralf, hi list,
seems, that using a 2nd USB-Soundcardstick as a dummy-soundcard with
"card1" does the trick.
Have now made a new install on an older PC with an AMD 4-kernels-
Processor and made the same hairy-install, but it runs out of the box.
Now I have a stable Steinberg-card0 and a stable

hi list,
have one soundcard installed (steinberg UR22mkII), the system detected
it, but why is it defined as "card1" and not "card0"
Is there a defining-tool elsewhere, which says, a detected soundcard is
card 1 ?
My Question results from this behavior :

So now - why this ? Can I set this name to the old eth0 ? It is for

package ? Or my be better to say - how can I get a better information
on pakages, which will require pulseaudio ?
On my ubuntu-studio-pc I must work only with alsa. But every time I

In the alsa-list is only a midiface 1x1 as a supported device.
Thanks to all in advance.
Bye hans
