suggest you to keep in touch with the Ubuntu translation team for your
own language.
Anyway, if your language is not listed there, you should use the Answers
system and ask there to set it up for you.

Launchpad. This string will not became a "Packaged" string with the
creation of a new langpack though, the "Packaged" will always be the
upstream string. (That's how I understood the all thing, maybe Danilo

Just another example: subversion for my own language. Looks like there's
one string broken. Nobody of our team has ever touched that package, the
translation has been like that since 2006. Downloaded it, tested it, no
errors.

I too would like to see such a glossary for Ubuntu, and also for other
translation projects; at least having it in English, translating it is another
aspect to deal with (and probably not an easy one), but if we can create such

upload" and what happen when you select one or the other...

you upload a translation from upstream and
publish it as "coming from upstream", it should maintains its license; if you
publish it as a "user upload" then, as Danilo said, you're messing up a little
bit the translations and in that case you're publishing under BSD.
At
all application like "Hello World!" for
"developers", a "Hello Translator!" (with a small doc too maybe) with
which wannabe translators can train? So to have different casistics:
tooltips, menus, buttons, radio-bottons, plural forms...

Is this a test you've done recently?
I've looked through Launcpad but can find no wrong string for Italian. I
remember to have fix some of those strings when doing the HTML version
back in April.

deosn't show up translated...

Hi,
I see that there are some new strings in gnome-control-center, I'm
referring to the UI (at least I think it's gnome-control-center...).
In particular about the "Visual Effects" tab and the strings in it.
Is the new po with these strings in the import queue?
