My problem only occurs on the system with the Geforce 5 series cards
(which are now stuck with the legacy 173.14.xx driver).
On a newer system I've been using the 180/185 series driver from the
nvidia installer without this issue ever being apparent.

Hi,
I can confirm this more ore less, you don't need to suspend, only logout

Since Ubuntu 9.04 rotation don't work correctly, i cannot take a

I cannot reproduce the freezes in karmic and I am not using any packages
from the PPA.
I think that the freeze said in the freedeskop bug is introduced with more
latest versions of the packages in the X stack. and the freeze in this bug
is a separate issue fixed by some other updates.

Will we see an official patch for this bug for Jaunty?

Hi,
I got rotation to work properly so far, thanks to Timo's patched
xserver-xorg-core package. But now, the Stylus only works until the

xserver is required to get it back to operation.

Attached the lspci output. I don't think I am experiencing the "infinite

matter.
I will try the x-updates drivers later. I do want to also note that
