normally run with Compiz disabled). It's a matter of the video card
running out of texture memory, if I understand correctly. I don't know

I was seeing the problem until just recently. I believe the fix came with an
update of libdrm from version 2.4.11 to 2.4.12

I saw this issue on a Zepto Znote 3215W on Jaunty and Karmic. I think
this is due to a new driver for the Elantech touchpads. In older
releases (without the driver) they operated in imps compatibility mode -
the workaround forces them into this mode.
Scrolling at the side of the pad stopped

Unfortunately, the live CD does the same thing. After copying the files to the
PC, the same Red window appears on a black screen with written in OUT OF
RANGE on a Black screen. The Black screen stays on

think you have a different bug.
Since others on this bug report say the issue is gone with the newer
