The new xserver-xorg-video-intel - 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu1 does make xbacklight
_report_ the display brightness, but there is no way to actually change
it using xbacklight/gnome-brightness-applet. This problem occurs a
samsung x360 laptop.

Actually, this bug still exist, but after last update, it don't happen
every time. it don't happen when i close the session the first time, but
over the second . it always happen when suspending or hibernate.

socket-handoff rework in newer libX11/libxcb, such as the versions

this isn't simply about my system being broken.
