Just for the record, I also got the bug without the nvidia proprietary
driver. (I'm using the graphics integrated into the Core i5 CPU. I think
it's "Arrandale", but might be misremembering -- commenting on this bug
from another computer.)

The current situation is not really compelling for me and others to
upgrade to Lucid since this is a basic part of the operating system.
Bryce, please reconsider renomination this for Lucid.
