I have the same problem on Radeon 9550. But it's working fine on Kernel
2.6.21. On any other newer kernel it hans after few hours or sometimes

I believe I have similar problem with my laptop, a LG LW65 Express. I am
using Ubuntu 10.04 and it works fine, but sometimes the screen goes
black and the system simply doesn't respond, requiring a so called hard
reset. My VGA card is an ATI x700 mobility. In my opinion, the crashes

I have a dual monitor setup for a docked Dell latitude D630 which

Well - as mentioned earlier - I was having problems earlier with
random/sporadic Black Screens.
Based on threads etc. I suspected problems with video drivers and intel
chiopset.
Anyhow I had reproducible test case (System Admin System Testing
Video tests = Crash)
After trying out a lot of
FYI - I've been able to achieve 12 days of uptime thus far. Same duty
cycle, same hardware, same software, etc. 10.04 will automatic updates,
default settings (beyond specifying the server kernel image.)
