looks good:
I plugged my laptop into the dock, and it came up at the medium
resolution it was running at earlier in the day. I ran that command,
and the screen blanked briefly, I guess while the dp link was
reestablished. I then used the displays panel to
Hitting Fn-F7 a few more times, I still have the blank screen problem,
and turning dp audio off again does not fix it.

Xorg freeze
I am experiencing this bug on a System76 Pangolin P7 laptop. Bug was
first encountered in 11.04 after latest kernel upgrade
(3.0.0-15-generic), and upgrade to 11.10 did not help. I also tried a
clean install of linux mint 12, but bug was still there. So now I have
done a clean install of ubuntu

I found that it has something to do with font caching. I tried some
fonts for fixed font in Thunderbird. First I had Andale mono which was
very ugly. Then I siwtched to Deja vu mono which is perfect. When I
siwtched back to Andale mono this was also without problems.

I have an Acer Travelmate 5735Z running Ubuntu 10.10 on it. Works fine.
The support period for Ubuntu 10.10 will end in April 2012 (so very

Id also like that. I downloaded the xorg sources in kubuntu 11.10
(package xorg-server-1.10.4). The patch seems to be in there I think in
the file debian/patches/219_fedora-pointer-barriers.diff . I tried to

that adding a VT_WAITACTIVE after the VT_ACTIVATE ioctl may help the
