I have tried different settings for mouse sensitivity and acceleration. No
obvious improvement, but I noticed that the sensitivity slider changes by
itself.

option to the kernel 'i915.i915_enable_fbc=0' by editing the kernel
options from the boot menu. So if could test with that when booting the

kernel, and the standard kernel was really unstable so I rebooted back
into mainstream kernel. I'm a bit concerned about the security

watching plenty of flash movies which seems to be a good way to trigger
the freeze so it's looking pretty good for 3.3.7. I will post here again
if I experience any freezes with it.

Those who know how to add kernel parameters via the grub boot menu, and
have a Sandybridge(!) platform please try adding
'i915.i915_enable_fbc=0' to the parameters to see if it helps with the
hangs. This disables framebuffer compression, which got disabled for
sandybridge in

install. Decided to roll all the way back to 11.10 and have been living

KVM switch.
Each time I switch it comes up with the wrong resolution, *until* I
click on System SettingsDisplays, when it suddenly and with no further

regressions. (thus far). I'm running two Java applications that were
nearly impossible to use before and right now they are both running

I also just verified that Google Maps ( the WebGL version ) works
without issue in Chrome with that same kernel.
