Public bug reported: While using UXA, opening System Preferences Screensaver reliably freezes X, including the mouse/cursor. After commenting out the UXA line in xorg.conf I could open and change settings in the screensaver dialog box without any problem. Re-enabled UXA and the freeze returned.
