also received a 'plymonth' error after I purged the amd drivers from a
live cd and was able to boot at the open source ultra slow radeon
driver. I have run out of options now, if I cannot workaround this soon

Strangely today, with just the amd site base radeon driver install
directly to xorg(which was working) the same problems happened, and yet
again, recovery failsafe x refused to start saying 'no screens found',
just the initial configuration which the recovery mode do plus terminal
'reboot' worked t

Yes. Do not use the "post-update" package, as it has the same version of
