Hi
I'm new with Linux and Alsa.
When I use a PI3b and Picore and I use an amplifier all works (with a
little bit noise in the distance but that's normal).
So this is all working fine.
When I use the PI with the HifiBerry DAC+ (with RCA) I hear nothing.
On the monitor of the PI I see: Waiting for
I am testing rc1 (fresh installation) with pi 4/2gb & 4gb with hifiberry

I am trying the 6.0.0 rc1 version. With the analog audio selected I can
choose hw:CARD=aiyvoicebonnet,DEV=0 as the output but there is no audio

Thank you for all your work getting this to work.

Hi Paul,
This short message to tell you that I did a fresh install of the RC1 and
the wifi is working.

I naively assumed that refreshing the page was enough, but indeed
clearing the cache has fixed it. All good now, thank you. I've just
updated to LMS8 too. I know how to live dangerously.

I just attempted an insitu update in my main server from 6.0.0-b1 to
rc1. To my surprise it seems to have worked fairly well - features that
weren't in b1 are now present (e.g. the Jivelite frambuffer settings),
and the footer shows that I'm on rc1. I know that somewhere between b1
and rc1 the

No. squeezelite and jive_alsa just use much less CPU but there is no
increase elsewhere. It seems that in my case using defaults (i.e. I
didn't specify a device at all) isn't the most

Why not just get a board with digital out, and skip the receiver
altogether. You can get boards with TOSlink and Spdif coax outputs.
Hifiberry, Justboom, Allo all make Digi cards that would do that.

Hi all - got a question that arose from a basic setup of PiCorePlayer.
My receiver is a basic 5.1 receiver that only has RCA inputs/outputs.
My soundbar is a Yamaha one with coax audio and TOSlink inputs. I'm
running a basic Analog-Digital Converter from my receiver's output to
the soundbar.
@MOHN JADDEN
So you are going
Analogue out from the rpi > 5.1 receiver > ADC > Optical input on the
Soundbar.
Does the soundbar control the volume ?
Why not get a Spdif hat and go

I have something going on in my repo scripting. armv6 and armv8 boards
are missing the file links on the repo. I'll check it this evening.

I noticed after sometime that the usual method of mounting a NAS share
by adding to the fstab file doesn't actually work. If you use mount -a
at the command line then the mount works. I can't find any workaround
