Hi Paul. That's
p.s. I did have an error message in trying to run Spotty, but it told
me exactly what to do. I had to tick the box to install the plugin for
"Spotty Helper Application for ARMv8/aarch64 architecture" Makes since
given the new install is the all 64bit version.
Thanks for the heads up! Now that
However, I'm being hit with the Bad repositiory / Bad file descriptor

Hi again all, sadly did a mistake and upgraded LMS to 8.xx again so had
to go back to my old thread to check what I did the last time since I
didn't remember how I managed to downgrade from LMS 8.xxx.

Just install the new version. You have a backup of your LMS anyway,
don't you?...

While the Pi3 is a 64bit processor, with only 1GB of ram, there is not
much of a reason to run 64bit. In fact 64bit has a little more
overhead, which will reduce available memory. The Kernel just happens
to run on PI3/4 so you can try it if you wish.

There is no longer a way to do that. Old versions were causing way too
many problems for those that support LMS.
If you are having a problem with 8.0.0, I would upgrade to 8.1.0 which
is now the latest release. If you still have problems, please provide
some information as to what your

Just updated my Pi 3B system. The update appeared to go fine, but I'm
not getting any audio. All the media files on this server are in Apple
Lossless format, if that helps. I won't be able to try it with other
format files until Saturday.

acanning,
Yes, in pCP 6, there was a 64bit kernel, but the user space programs
were all 32bit.In pCP7, everything will be 32bit or 64bit, there
wont be a mixture.

Did a 64b institu update yesterday. Everything went smooth and well.

Can I just clarify somethingI'm currently running LMS on 64 bit pCp
V6.1 on a 4B. If I carry out an insitu update will it install the 32bit
version of pCp? I can do a clean install but would rather avoid it if
possible unless you tell me that is what I should definitely do.
This is probably a stupid question but is it possible to use jivelite as

That did the trick, partially.
Have 2 RPI's in use, one as LMS server and that is now up to date with
v7 (non-wifi).
Another RPI is build into a DIY active speaker, that was also updated
now to v7 but after the reboot the wifi connection seems to fail. A few
moments after booting I see the led
Thank you everyone for all the help. I would not get far without help ,
