To make your drive accesible through samba you will need to edit the file /etc/samba/smb.conf (I use nano from a SSH terminal) . You will find someway down in the file a section named [Music]. Under this is a 'path = ' Edit the path to match the location that your USB drive mounts to.

More on the WebGUI / Firefox issue: I've just tried to enable Upsampling in the GUI and restart Squeezelite and Firefox has returned a "The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server." I would post the URL but the forum won't allow it as it beyond 10,000 characters long !

JackofAll - big thanks for all the work you've put in on thi, its been a huge help. I've just completed a fresh install of Fedora 18 (replacing F16 which I've used the last couple of years) and used your instructions to install LMS from your repo. Biggest problem I had was with the firewall as
