The apparmor issue bites again...

Squeezecenter (7.2). After everything was up and running, I could not
access the web interface. After searching this forum for quite some
time, I found the suggestion to stop apparmor. I d
I'll give it a go - thanks.

Well, it still doesn't work. This is what I did:
Code:
sudo /etc/init.d/squeezecenter stop
sudo dpkg -i
That tells me it's restarting SC, so I check the logs and see this:
Code:
2008-07-18 22:34:55 squeezecent
I'll see what happens next time I switch version!

Ahh - after a little reading I'm going to guess it was apparmor that
needed restarting to load the new mysqld profiles post install. Anyway
of getting that step into the .deb, or the startup script?

After several days of frustration, I finally got squeezecenter to run on
Hardy. I followed the steps above and also had to create the following
sym link:
ln -s /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock /tmp/mysql.sock
The scanner wouldn't run because it wanted to connect using the
/tmp/mysql.sock instead of th
This shouldn't be necessary - SqueezeCenter comes with its own MySQL.
You don't have to configure it.

On second thoughts, just make sure you have installed mysql-server
before you install squeezecenter. That works much better.

For some reason the squeezecenter insists on using mysql socket in /tmp,
so you need to edit the "/etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld" file and add a
line:
/tmp/mysql.sock w,
You also have to edit your mysql config files (both my.cnf and
debian.cnf) to reflect this socket change.
Also you have to gi
