I ran a backup of my config onto USB before downloading a new image for
3.22 and booting up. The config restored fine :-), but I came across
one problem - with Samba. The restore of the config seems to restore
some Samba settings, but the Samba extension isn't actually installed.

Initial testing on exFat looks like it will work with LMS cache. But, I
Didn't do extensive testing. ExFat is not directly supported in the
kernel, it is supported by FUSE.( File system in userspace). I would
stick with ext3.

When installing LMS and expanding the file system, is there any
benefit/disadvantage to selecting to use all available disk space?

Yes, but if you used a raw card program, you would only have to backup
the portion of the card that has data. Reading/Writing all 8 gb of data
takes along time.
LMS is under 50MB installed, it's the cache that takes up bunches of
space if you have a big library. You can always expand again if

The Random Mix setting in My Music was cleared when I upgraded to 3.22
Reset and then as a Test, I "Saved my current configuration to the USB
flash drive" and rebooted pCP, and it was cleared again:

It been up intermittently. I was able to d/l pCP ear
It's just a builtin software Volume.I believe that when this is
enabled and the DAC volume is set at 100%, then this is a 0db internal
setting. When disabled, there is a -6db software volume applied.

pCP 3.22 running well.
Did a clean install last night.
One minor glitch, not sure what I did wrong.
Before I installed LMS I mounted the LMS Cache that I have on a USB ext3
partition.
The install of LMS put a new Cache on the pCP boot disk
(/mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/slimserver), so 2 caches, with the

hi guys,
for some reason when i use a cue to play individual tracks in an ape
file i cant seem to be able to play the specific track, it just plays
the whole file from the beginning no matter what i do.

I had this problem with .wav and .cue files years ago. The workaround
was to change the streaming format. I can't remember definitely but I
think I changed it from flac to wav. There is a slight chance that it
*might* work for .ape??? dunno :confused:

I have now confirmed that my phone's wifi hot-spot CAN be seen fine (is
on Ch 1). The difficulty I have, is that where the office at home is,

The wifi support is a feature of the base OS that we use. It is quite
stripped down. We have considered re-writing all of the wifi routines
ourself, but it is a pretty daunting task to remain compatible with all
of the wifi idiosyncrasies.

Slacker gets stuck in a loop and Pandora skips mid song (I mentioned
this a week or so ago). Only fix is to uninstall and reinstall the
plugins in LMS Settimgs. Very strange. Only happens with my pCP LMS
not on the LMS I run on a Mac mini (7.9.0 on the mini)
Any idea what's causing this?

Possibly Network issues. Check the server logs. You will probably
have to turn on logging for the Pandora plugin
Uninstalling Pandora doesn't actually remove anything from the system,
it just disables the loading of the plugin.
OK, I'll turn on logging.
It's very strange that rebooting (pi as well as router) does not fix the
problem, only uninstalling and reinstalling the Slacker and Pandora
plugins.

Enable INFO logging for Spotty, then disable/re-enable Connect for your

I use PiCoreplayer 3.22 on Raspberry pi 3 running Logitech Media Server

I built my parents the above setup, put the music on a usb HD and all
was working fine for months.
I took the HD home to rip their new cd's on to the the HD but since
putting the HD back in and rescanning the media lms will only find the
original music and not anything in the n

It's NTFS.
Yeah I tried that before I setup a new SD card with the latest version,
but it does it on pre V3 and V3.22.

There is no changes that I no of, that would have affected that. Take a
look at the server and scanner logs to see if there are any clues.
