strange blending ink problem

With latest Rev Media on a Mac (various Macs) I've gotten a strange effect where the blending/ink of images gets somehow altered (and thus the images seem to disappear). This happens on old stacks that have been stable for years. Has anyone else experienced this? mark mitchell Japan _

I normally have a 'system' partition and a 'docs' partition on laptops, but mostly due to being a control freak... and it's the easiest way to then have an external drive with a known-good copy of the system plus a latest backup copy of the system without copying the *entire* drive twice.
