Guacamole performance in bigger environment and setup?

We have done tests with Guacamole 0.9.12 over the last view month and like how it works and its performance. Do someone have used it already in setups with 1000+ concurrent RDP or VNC connections? Where might could be the bottleneck on the hardware side? I guess beside the network connections,

Welcome Alex VNC over Guacamole should be pretty fast, especially over LAN. Near or as fast as your TurboVNC client. Guacamole's first desktop/visual protocol was VNC after all. Please specify what version of Guacamole you installed, on what server OS etc.., you may have outdated VNC library on y
