We were wondering about that, although we couldn't find anything that
explicitly states that you can't migrate across pods in a basic zone.
Our view was that there's no technical reason why the VM can't be started by
the hypervisor - it would have to get a new ip (as dhcp in the v

Just a thought! can you create new user account and launch a vm? it could
be an issue with the account.
if it works, you could use cloudmonkey later to assign all vms from the
affected user account to the new account.

We also face this kind of problem many times but in our case its because of
router or storage instance are disconnected or down under vmware, i will
suggest you to check their connectivity once not only from cloudstack but
also from backend.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion.
I've done the test, I've created new user and I've tried to create new vm with
him. We have exactly the same error.

Yes, you can customize the alerts by setting the global configuration values.
In global config window, search for "notificationthreshold"; you'll get all the
gc (.notificationthreshold) that you can set as per your requirement to get
alerts.

We won't be able to tell you that. You will have to determine what is most
important to your organization to backup. For simplicity, definitely backup
the DB. If you wanted to backup anything, I'd probably suggest the

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
Our virtual router vm was used @50% of CPU and the network traffic it was

We had some system scripts who send DNS request storm on virtual router. Now,
we have corrected this and now the usage of cpu is under 1% and network traffic

I agree, I have to work around that kind of issue once in a while. Most of
the time I just destroy the instance and recreate it, specifying host, and
let puppet do the rest of the work. The best way forward is to probably
file a feature enhancement request and bring it up on the dev list.

the console proxy vm is what provides the console view, of the vm, to the

You know when you click the View Console button on an instance and a popup

comes from the instance's console via the console proxy.
So it *proxies* the *console* of the instance for the end users who are on

Yep, still no new console proxy vm. I'll have to take a look at the logs to
see what's going on.
side note: I wish each zone would log to a separate log, or system vm activity
would log to a separate log from the user instances.
