There is already an open-sourced project called E-skimo which includes such
component. It is tested in mobile, and in fact it was developed to give
Flex components more native look back then. The component is called
SectionList.

clone it from https://github.com/matyasf/DividedList
Its using the Apache license, so you can do whatever you want with it.
Btw as my personal opinion I dont recommend to include it in Flex. The Flex
library is already huge and

I have found a way to know whether an app from the app store is made with AIR:
If you unzip the .ipa package (for MAX 2011, it's one named MAX 2011 1.x.ipa),
you will notice a folder named "META-INF&
