so widely
prevalent and difficult to post bug-reports against it. Lets hope it was
just a problem in a friendly OpenSource reader!

So it might be good to mention it on our discussion mailing-list to try to
reach someone with an official TDF email address to see if they can get
something done about it for next time.

Sorry for the confusion there!

like "images".
5. open each image in turn until you find the bad ones and delete them
6. rename the file-ending from .zip to .ods
7. does the file still open or does it crash or not open at all?
Sorry this answer is a bit of a painful route and totally inelegant!

All posts to the list go to everyone on the list so you only really needed
to post once. So i am replying to the important part of the reply and

Hi :)
I thought it was really kind to de-geekify Brain's answer. The tpyo was
unfortunate but these things happen [shrugs]. The main thing, for me, was
that i could then go back to Brian's answer and understand it more easily.

you also seem to be pushing the default one further than most of us.

Hi :)
I thought Zotero was often used as an Extension/Add-on/Plug-in to improve
the handling of this sort of thing? The default one included in
LibreOffice is more than good enough for me but uni students and others
might benefit from adding in a specialist tool such as Zotero

t going against what Brian was saying, just cutting it down to
the specific use-case asked about.

Anyway, going by what Owen Genat said 22hours ago it might be worth setting
this option to see if it helps import the gdocs. I've a feeling this
setting is just about exporting/saving documents but it might help deal
with the issue
it brief, it's
just to give them a hint. Also let them know if there are specific things
you might like to be involved with or things you would like to avoid. Note
that complete noobs can be extremely valuable because we are often able to
help degeekify things.

her people have opened a file the
lock-file is often left behind even if they close the file properly. So in
the same folder as the file is there a hidden file with almost the same
name but that has something like "~lockfile" added to the name? Deleting
that make the proper file behave nor
s that might make it tidier.
