That is wild dude. I have never had an isp home or business that doesn't
support port 80 listening. Now I have been more than limited at times with
other ports but with the proper applications and servers installed I don't
think I have ever been unable to use a port.
Hey Guys,
I have no need for anybody to have access to my server except me. I
run a couple of different webpages but there just standard and don't have
any. need for special security. ie no login pages and no passwords just for
viewing type. Should I add extra security precautions that I
Hey Guys
First thanks for any help that you send my way.
In virtual host I would like to be able to get past the problem that occurs
when somebody is too lazy to type www. in front of the site address.
Which as you probably have already figured out means that the virtual host
directs the site
I'm retarded I just read that thanks.

Hey Guys,
I have a little problem. I registered one of the two sites I'm
hosting off my server with a search engine. Now the thing is linking
directly to pages from my other sight. How do I keep the search engines
from looking at anything other than the main page of the sight. I don't

right now I'm trying to get my virtual host to work so i can separate. The

effectively be two different web pages. I set it up last night but it

you could pre load the images as part of the web pages directory. All
though if there are a lot of images it could drag your speed down..

That is what a pre load does on a web page. My suggestion is since the
dynamics fo a mobile page are built into the funtions of the regular web
page you should have the designer set a preload for the images at the
begining of the page. Which means the images are there just waiting for
somebody to
Ok I'm not as versed in the coding for the mobile phones. But have started
to do some research. I will look and see what I can find. I do understand
what your meaning. I don't know of the module you are looking for but I'm
sure somebody else can assist you in that area. I send a message to the que
I down loaded and unzipped the file and tried to execute and install but my
vista system isn't recognizing any of the file formats. I'm wondering if I
didn't down load the wrong program.
I tried repeating the down load of the program to see if some of it just
didn't come through.

I'll check thanks for the help

I know this isn't going to seem quite intelligent but I just down loaded
the Apache Server and it works as you know. But I can't seem to get my
system to allow me to modify the code to set up my page. I know I'm doing
something wrong and I have looked through all the documents but can't find

I have Windows Vista. I tried to modify the index.html pages so I can start
dropping in all of the website I have pre built for it but it won't allow
me to save the changes to the file.

I actually tried that last night. But here is another question probably not
the smartest. Is there a special editing program needed for this software.
That seems to me to be the most likely problem I'm having. Standard HTML
coding can be written with any old notebook is this any different.
Thank
Ok Guys I'll give it a try shutting down the server when I get back to it.
I appreciate your help with this I've been trying to get this up and
running for a couple of days just learning the coding and reading all the
instructions. So hopefully I'll be able to put some of it to use. Thanks
again
