I think that Google has become nearly useless. If my search term
includes a word that triggers their advertising I am overwhelmed with
responses that have little relationship to my query, it amounts to being
overwhelmed with commercials.

I second duckduckgo as a better search engine. I've been using it for years
as default on my desktop and mobile devices. Occasionally I use google if
I'm having trouble finding what I'm looking for but rarely does it do a
better job.

I searched for potato bake recipes without ham, and every recipe it
found had ham in it. The words with or without are quite important for
getting a search right. I hope they never get involved in AI for
futuristic police robots, because saying "don't shoot" is going to get
