Oracle 11g has support for Trinidad. As for MyFaces, the built in
application server has JSF built in, so it technically uses the R.I..
There is no reason you couldn't use myfaces with a tomcat installation
though and debug using JDeveloper...

FWIW, JDeveloper does support MyFaces as a custom taglib,
with visual editing, no need for any bonus config files. There's
extra metadata you can add to improve the editing experience,
which is the basis of JSR 276 (this metadata should be
standardized), but you don't need any of it

Take a look at the stuff I just checked in. I believe the new
TreeWalker stuff now gives you the ability to set the expanded state
of tree nodes *before* rendering. I haven't tested that aspect though
so let me know what you think.

This is just an FYI for anyone working on JSF projects. We have just
released a new version of JDeveloper that has full support for JSF, ADF
Faces, MyFaces Tomahawk, and other third party component libraries.
Apart from the fact that it is a new release it - Oracle JDeveloper 10g
read this list, can you talk about anything more concrete?
What will it be, will myfaces be part of the JDeveloper libraries in the
future, are there works going on to make myfaces more compatible with
ADF faces (there have been issues in the past)
what parts of ADF faces will be brought into the myfaces codebase for now?

TopLink-ADF runtime is free-of-charge with all editions of Oracle
Application Server. If you deploy to other J2EE application servers,
you can also purchase a license to the combined TopLink-ADF bundle.
ADF design-time will continue to be included with JDeveloper--you will
be able to run ADF

is understandable since the whole ide is a total rewrite.

Wow, this is really cool. I was also just looking through the ADF Faces
components and they look really cool. I hope they contribute these to
MyFaces or at least make them freely usable.

Jdeveloper picks up where JavaStudioCreator lacks -- just

gave it a serious run due to the licensing issues, because I constantly
