Also, typically, an enterprise application wouldn’t be created anymore —
though there are still use cases for it, of course, the typical starting

The Apache NetBeans team is pleased to announce that Apache NetBeans 12.4
was released on May 19th 2021*. Apache NetBeans is a full IDE for Java SE,
Java EE, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5 and more, including some support for Groovy
and C/C++.
Apache NetBeans 12.4 is a quarterly feature update.
And "Compile On Save", not sure if it works with NetBeans modules, or

I agree, the Ant-based project creation should be removed and I disagree
that there should be any kind of conversion between Ant and Maven -- that
simply will never work and we'll spend the rest of our days fixing bugs in
that. To convert from Ant to Maven: create a new Maven project and copy the

JDK 8.

more, so there's nothing strange or funny about it -- it simply means
you've installed something from the 8.2 update center, either now or in the

Yes, we’d love to have full support for C/C++, however the task of
integrating and updating it is massive and so far no one has turned up to
