Is there a feature that fonts in a slide are automatically resized to
fit the slide when the text increases beyond the slide area.
For example in PowerPoint, all fonts in the slide are reduced
automatically by -2pt when the text gets too much in a slide.

I have not noticied this problem any time before, and you can run ./setup as a
normal user too, just see if you have enough memory on your disk. Or try may be
there was some problem with the downloads you have, so try downloading once
again it this works :-)

If the style that is being used is set to 'single space' (under
'indents and spacing' tab) then it should work.
I'm using OOo1.1.4 and ctrl+1 single spaces and ctrl+2 double spaces.

set for backup's to go - I cannot understand why it will not let you
use the same file name... strange. What OS are you using? What part

Well, I know that can be a problem, but I have not found any other way
to achieve the wanted page layout AND chapter/page numbering.
If this is unsuccessful I have to make it in LaTaX where this is easy
