I can only suggest that you check tools > options > writer (print) and make
sure that all the applicable box are ticked for what should be printed. I
believe that pdf export option uses this to determine what to export to pdf

My many apologies if I have missed something, with so many posts I just
glance at them unless I have a specific topic in mind ...
Today, I have found that, using Windows XP and OOo 2.0 Beta, I cannot
export to .pdf format. I have tried the tool bar button and the File >
Export as PDF
Just received OpenOffice and started at setup.
Got to screen looking for Java runtime. Could not locate.
Went to FAQ and it directed me Java.sun
BUT,
There's no review notes to tell me what I need to download.
This is a standard, single use Pentium II running XP. Lot's of space.

options and focus on the User-defined diagram - wherein you can select
one or more of the edges to have a border applied. You will also need

Point is, you can select a character, a word, a phrase - however much

landscape mode for a page or two to insert a wide table of results.
In Word, I would insert a section break and then change the

Yes it does. It is called fontwork. It has changed considerably between
version 1.1.X and Beta 2.0 versions.
Have a look at the help under 'fontwork' and post specific questions back to

OpenOffice.org does have a macro capability.
It does have (a limited) ability to record actions, but it is not very
useful for learning how to write your own macros.
