Does anyone think that this question comes up often enough that it would be
worth putting it into the help file in just this form?
How to search and replace paragraphs and tabs.
I know the experts think that learning regular expressions will increase
everyone's expertise but, in truth,
Thank you. A very powerful macro. Quite impressive.
And yet ...

Yet another learn-it-yourself kit from OOo.
It's a .sxd file. With no instructions. How do I install this? (Answer, you
don't. It is a document with an embedded macro. Just open it.)
It states that
When I export a swf from an impress presentation and put it on a website, it
displays fine but requires that the user click the picture to change to the
next slide. Is there a setting somewhere that would make the slide show
autodisplay, changing the slide every 2 seconds or so?
Nevermind. I got a chance to look at the file in PPT 2003. The same slides
are blank in Notes mode. No one seems to know why, but it ain't just Impress.

That sure seemed like logical reason to me. But ... I changed the two-caps
autocorrect and also a setting in Options about checking capitalization and it
still does the fLC thing.
When you or anyone finds a solution, I would appreciate knowing.

Thanks to Johnny Anderson and Joe Conner. I thought that there was a cut and
paste solution but could not remember it. and, now I know how to prevent the
fraction problem. But I am still stonkered as to the design. What kind of
logic would do rounding on the denominator of a fraction?
One way (in Windows, at least) to handle this would be to get the free
Powerpoint viewer and associate it with (only) the .pps suffix. Then save the
Impress file as .ppt and manually change the name to .pps.

I sent a copy of my original note about this to the writer of the
software. Overnight I received 2 messages. The first described what
the problem was.
In the meantime, this is the problem:(Two problems actually.)
Whenever you copy something, there isn't one clip put on the clipboard
but
Lots of people think that there is a difference between the .ppt and
.pps file format. And you would be surprised how many folks think you
can't edit the .pps because when they click on it, it starts to run.
Anyhow, all you have to do to make a .pps file is to save as a .ppt and
then use a file
Actually, they would go to the WOPR Lounge (www.wopr.com) which is, I'm
sorry, better laid out and easier to use than any of OOo's lists.

I'm editing some Excel workbooks in OOo 2.0. Whenever I open the files,
I get a warning of macros and a dialog to enable or disable them.
Typically, I disable them. Doesn't seem to make much difference since
they don't function in OOo. The spreadsheets always have an added sheet

There is a Google Desktop Search plugin for searching OOo files at

also still developing.
Actually, there are some amazing plugins at

Probably because he was frustrated. That will make people do that.
A soft answer turneth away wrath.
Being pissy classifieth one as a nuisance.
Which means, of course, that I am now classified as a nuisance.
