The *thesaurus* feature is grayed out in 3.2. Am I doing something wrong or
is the thesaurus disabled?
First off, let me tell you I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT!!
When I first downloaded OpenOffice and began using it, I moved all my Word and
Excel files over and put them into OpenOffice format. Then we had an issue
where someone couldn't open a document sent via email and I changed my save
option to alway

and I've got it again.
The Thesaurus on the Toolbar is greyed dout.
In the Tools>Options>Language Settings> Writing Aids All I have is the
Spellchecker.
When I hit Edit, It shows Spellchecker, Thesaurus, and Hyphenation
I have just downloaded the OO Writer but cannot use or find the Thesarus.
What is wrong?

A few things to check...
Check that the document language is correct - from the Tools menu,
select Options, expand "Language Settings", select "Languages", and
check the default language for the document. That may be incorrectly
set, or if it is correct there may not be a thesaurus available f

problems in linux opensuse10.1 - I have run into a question about the

If I start a file directly from OO as new - the thesaurus appears active

there're no definitions in there to access, as though the thesaurus
database was missing. Now NO crashes if I try to invoke the thesaurus.

What I found out is that it only happens if you double click on the words.

The Thesaurus seems to work OK for me, but I tried it on a ".odt" file.
I have noticed that "Word Count" doesn't seem to work on a .doc file
either.
Try saving the file as .odt, then close it and reopen it, and see if the
Thesaurus works. I suspect some of these tools key off internal data

I to get the same problem. If you open the thesaurus without selecting a
word it will open fine. Select a word and it will crash.
