I am writing a complex calc system and am having severe problems.
I create macros and they are placed automatically in my program

I am not sure if I understand the problem. What you call window, is it
a Note (that you can create in Calc with Insert Note) ? If so,
maybe I could help you. If your notes are cells (e.g. A6, or D17
etc.), the problem is not the same.

I have just downloaded and started using Open Office 2.2; Windows version.
I am having a bit of a problem, no doubt caused by my lack of knowledge.
I imported a spreadsheet from MS Excel 2003 into Calc without any problems.

You are almost there! You've selected the note; in this state, you
can move or resize
