Solved with mod_jk without JNI, and thanks for all the tips.
In my /etc/hosts there was this line:
::1 localhost.localdomain localhost
And I added this line:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
and now I can ping localhost.

It depends on who you are, really. You may use either mod_jk or
mod_proxy_ajp to connect Apache httpd 2.2
