password before ?? Also the standard documentation doesn't talk about removing
that tag from context.xml. One last thing though, I can access "Server Status"

Figured this out.
For anyone who is curious or who is experiencing the same problem, I was
able to get things working with two changes:
1) Make sure "Deploy at startup" option is checked in when you create
the host in the Host Manager.
2) Create the ROOT.xml file for the contex

IMO it's not such a major bug, because everything continues to work,

I am using Tomcat 5.5.16 on Windows XP with JDK 5.0. This is what I am
trying to do:
Set up a virtual host with two contexts. The first context is my root
application and the second context is the manager for this virtual host.
The application and manager are working fine. The only problem i

changed.
Its just really ridiculous that the host-manager doesn't serialize the
creation options for the virtual host when it creates it, or that when it
auto-deploys a web application on creation, it doesn't create a context.xml
that points to the auto-deployed context.
