Although the quote of Jamie Zawinski suggest 'bloated' software i'm not sure if that is the right direction. Would it not be much nicer if you just can integrate with a existing mail-service. Both as a client or as a workflow extension (like in Enterprise Content Management) A few services like;

XEclipse only support domain based multiwiki as far as i know (or to be more precise XLRPC interface): you simply go to your wiki with the proper domain like http://mysubwiki.mydomain.com Note that even if you are using path based multiwiki domain based one is never disabled so you can put some do
