For the price you can't beat The Aqua Nova lines. They come out of Canada. That
is what I use on my bamboo rods. As far as a reel that will balance with by

I don't "test" cast a rod before it is delivered so you will be the first one
to cast it. Being that it has a twist to it, maybe a 5 wt might cast better
thhan a 4 wt that the taper was designed for. Mine cast great with a 4 wt but
Wayne's cast better with a 5 wt. You will have to check it
Years ago I used silk lines.Too much upkeep though they sound nice going
through the guides.

I have not spent much time outdoors so I am not sure what the hatch is right
now. I have heard that there has been some good Caddis hatches. Dean fished the
other day and did well on Midges and Sowbugs. I will be with several guides
this afternoon to judge the Baxter Bulletin Fly Tying Co
Midges, Sowbugs and Caddis. On high water large streamers.
