and bad news so far.
Good news is that every computer so far that was working is still working after
being recapped and also my Mac classic II is now working! So I increased my
vintage Mac collection by one :D
Bad
Yep, everything happens except the image in the middle of the floppy disk. I
get the chord sound, mouse in the upper left, and gray screen.
The quadra and powermac 6100 need hard drives, so I ordered them for them. The
one machine works fine so I needed the drive anyways. If this computer that

Does it make the start-up sound? At boot, you should get a start-up chord
or bong, then the gray screen, then the mouse cursor should appear, in the
upper left corne

After washing it it still only shows the gray screen.
I got two SCSI 50 pin hard drives coming in the mail and I am in the process of
getting capacitors, the 6500 post is about that. So I guess we will see what
happens after those.
I will also have two more Mac classics as I have some of them t

Hmm, well it worked once but didn't see the hard drive during installation.
Now it won't boot with the floppy or cd at all and will only go to the all gray
screen again.

It looks like the guy had the quadra top case on the power Mac and the power
Mac case on the quadra. I'll just quick switch them and it won't be a problem
anymore.
So now we are talking about a quadra 660av that will only show the gray screen
and mouse.

This can happen if the SCSI hard drive is mostly dead but not all dead. Alive
enough for the Mac to see it but dead enough it

I don't think it has the ROM stick, I am guessing it goes in the three slotted
spot like it does in the quadra.
I do hear the startup bong sound, got to love that classic Mac sou

Try removing all the RAM SIMMs. There is memory built in to the MB so it
should still boot. Also, in plug all drives and any peripherals except the
video monitor. Then try booting it and see if you get the question mark.

Hi again :)
Along with the quadra I got, I obtained a 6100/60 Mac that is also giving me
issues. When it boots it only shows a gray screen, but without the question
mark floppy in the middle. And it will not boot to anything. I have tried
holding command + option + p + r already but it didn't
