I have been watching this thread with interest as I have an IIci with a
13" RGB and LaserWriter printer, all in pristine condition. I was
planning on installing AU/X on the system as soon as I had picked up an
in-era CD-ROM drive. The CPU

flawlessly, it also complains
about the clock settings so I was thinking that this was a dead

because of the battery.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal on a machine with a dead battery?

Forget that.
I did a little searching through the newsgroups, and it turns out I was
using the wrong printer driver, I should have been using the
LaserWriter 300/LS 1.2 driver, rather than the LaserWriter 8 driver.
Its all working find now!

I can't get it to show up in the Chooser.
Does this printer sound dead?

Hi,
I have a spare Apple Macintosh LC that is up for grabs! I will also
strip for parts if anyone needs a specific item.
If anyone wants it you will have to pay P&P or you
either. Seems to be in good working
order, I only bought the machine for the keyboard, mouse and monitor.
If anyone wants it you will have to pay P&P or you can collect from me
but I am not charging for it. Its going in the bin otherwise!

it has about 5mm overhang on each side of the base unit.
Did anyone here actually buy a complete Mac IIc* system from Apple? If
so what monitor originally shipped with them?

All the links I find are dead :(
