have available to you on the iPhone. I'm not sure who developed Alex, but if it
was Nuance, then it's an exclusive for Apple. Nuance the company was acquired

Alex was developed by Apple so I highly doubt it will ever be available on
Android.
Then of course I believe Eloquence can be used on Android phones and that would
be awesome although for me personally it certainly is not enough incentive to
switch.

As a neck user, I’ve always used Alex on that platform. I have gotten used to
him, and the breathing for me is one of the hallmarks of the Alex voice, and
why the Alex voice is so good. Now in iOS 7, are used to use Samantha, because
Alex wasn’t available in iOS. But as soon as I got iOS 8.1.3
The built-in voices are from Vocalizer.
I prefer Tom Enhanced over Alex hands down. Alex may be more natural because
of his fake breathing, but his pronunciation drives me up a wall.
I don’t remember any specific examples, but Tom has far fewer pronunciation
issues and is very responsive

I knew one elderly woman in a retirement center who was losing her vision and

Synthesizer voices are highly subjective and very much a matter of
personal taste. I like eloquence and wouldn't use another voice if I had a
choice and would do so if IoS offered it but that is just my personal
preference.
I hate Alex. I can’t stand to use him on my phone and my computer every now and
then.

Tom or the male Siri voice. On my computer I much prefer Paul from the
DecTalk Express and can't stand Eloquence in any way. He sounds to choppy
and like he has a clothepin on his nose, if he had one. Just my g
Alex has the best responsiveness on iOS. Not my favorite voice, but it is
definitely the most responsive.
