opposed to other Sendero offerings, where the maps are on the device, is that,
when they get map updates, those will immediately be available to app users,
since it is all on the server. Of course, Apple maps is also

No, you don't have to sign up with 4 square to use their poi data. You have to
pick which data source you want to use. You can't combine them and get all at
once. My experience is that 4 square was the best in my area, so I set it to 4
square and leave it be.
