Travel time does a few things. If an appointment is flagged as busy, it marks
the travel time as busy also, so one does not schedule another appointment
during that time (or at least gives a warning of potential conflict). If the
appointment is shared, the travel time portion is not shared.

I went in and added travel time to an appointment.
Nothing changed in the main listing for that appointment. The travel time only
showed if I opened the appointment and double tapped on edit.
I could have more easily just entered the travel

I seem to be totally flummoxed by the native Calendar app.
I've put in Events and have the USA Holidays app that automatically loads US
Holiday dates.
