Hi Tim,
The Mac mini came with the VGA adaptor, which I didn't know at the
time, so I bought one at the Apple store. I think it was $30.
I have also got an A B switch for my large print, illuminated
keyboard, so I can use it with both machines.

My experience with JAWS and Windows is different then yours. I too used
JAWS with spread sheets, documents and presentations, both in MS Office
and Symphony. I used Lotus Notes and Thunderbird for my email clients. I
used both Firefox and IE as browsers and would also have double digit
tabs opened
it so portable so lazing on the settee as you talk is my thing!

I actually think with VueScan Mobile and Prizmo, you actually could work with
the scanning thing. As far as "word processing" I think with a bluetooth
keyboard, Pages, and some of the other similar apps it may be possible.

I have to agree. I switched to the Mac a year ago this month.
Voice-Over on the Mac functions quite differently from screen-readers on
Windows, so you will need to give yourself plenty of time and patience to learn
the new system. Also, Mac does many things differently as well.

I would say, that unless you mainly are looking for a consumption device, that
you'll likely need a Mac as well as an iOS product like iPad or iPhone.

voice over or the speech that comes with the app to read those books. I would
never replace my computer with an iPad for at least two reasons

exclusively Apple. First do any of you just use the Ipad as your main
computer and if so what are the pros and cons? Also I like to download books
from Bookshare to my Victor stream and I know the Ipad doesn't have a US
